Rugged Gamepad

We've been working on several rugged hand-held GCS variants over the past few months different both in size and in function, because the basic RHH format lends itself easily to a scalable and modular set of weather-proof mission control solutions. Some of these are for direct payload control, LOS take-off and landing assist units, but we've also made a unique IP67-IP69 level "gamepad" that can also work as a bog standard USB peripheral attached to a main GCS. Although the Xbox and PS2 style gamepad was first picked up by the military for serious IED robot control, many companies and agencies have since realised that the average operator is young enough to have played all through his childhood with these. Just by providing a familiar controller format for the user can reduce the necessary training needs considerably. The interesting point is that despite the existing demand for higher ingress protection in these areas, there were no usable rugged gamepad versions available, at least until now...
